MINNWEST BANK GROUP SELECTS EXPAND ACCELERATORS TO SPEED-UP DELIVERY OF CENTRALIZED APPLICATIONS TO BRANCH OFFICES

Expand Provides T1 remote access speed and capacity over 56 Kbps Links for 10 Branch Locations Previously Unable to Access Centralized Data Mining and Banking Applications

Roseland, NJ— September 7, 2004 — Expand Networks, a leading provider of Application Traffic Management Solutions for the branch office, today announced Minnwest Bank Group, a regional community bank based in Minnesota, has deployed Expand Accelerators to enable on-demand delivery of high bandwidth core-banking and data mining application to their branch offices. Upgrades from Minnwest Bank’s 56Kbps branch office links to T1 have been cost prohibitive or not available due to the lack of copper in the public infrastructure. Until now, ten branch office locations have not been able to effectively utilize the core banking and data mining applications due to bandwidth constraints. Minnwest Bank Group is a regional community bank serving both consumer and business customers with a broad portfolio of services and has twenty branch office locations throughout Minnesota and South Dakota.
